Several Southampton fans have reacted to the club’s first win of the new season, with the Saints having beaten Brighton 2-0 at the Amex Stadium.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are finally off the mark, having lost 2-1 to Liverpool last week while they were surprisingly thrashed 3-0 against Burnley on the season’s opening weekend.

Florin Andone’s first-half red card made the affair slightly easier for Southampton, with Brighton having to play with 10 men for an hour.

Moussa Djenepo scored his first goal for the club after signing in the summer, coming on for Yan Valery in the 54th minute and scoring moments later.

Nathan Redmond then doubled the lead for the Saints, all but confirming their first win of the season with his stoppage time strike.

Taking to Twitter, a number of Southampton fans reacted positively to the club’s first win of the season.
