Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Adrian is a doubt to face Southampton this weekend, and Liverpool fans have been worriedly reacting to the news.
The Times reporter Paul Joyce tweeted to confirm that the Spaniard is unlikely to feature against Saints after a supporter ran on the pitch and injured his ankle during the aftermath of the UEFA Super Cup final win.

Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties after a 2-2 draw after extra-time, in which Adrian was the hero. However, with Alisson and now the former West Ham man set to be injured for the Reds’ trip to St Mary’s, Klopp has a big goalkeeping dilemma, with Andy Lonergan set for his debut.

It’s safe to say that the news has come as a shock to these Liverpool fans…

Read Southampton’s verdict
Well, this is certainly intriguing news. Saints’ life had been made a tiny bit easier by Alisson’s absence, but with Adrian full of confidence following his dream start to life at Anfield, it seemed as though the Brazilian’s injury would not come as too great a blow.
However, it appears he has been injured in the most bizarre of circumstances, and as such, Southampton’s forwards will surely be licking their lips ahead of Saturday’s fixture.
We still remain the clear underdogs for this one, but with the experienced yet relatively unproven Andy Lonergan set to start between the sticks, surely Ralph Hasenhuttl fancies his side’s chances.
