Kevin Danso is set to be available for Southampton’s clash against Liverpool this weekend, and plenty of fans are keen for him to make his full debut against the Reds.
The 20-year-old only arrived at Staplewood on Sunday after completing a season-long loan move to the club last Thursday.
However, in light of the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley in Southampton’s opening game of the new Premier League season, a number of supporters are keen to see Danso come straight into the side.
We took to Twitter to ask Saints fans whether or not they think the Austria international should start against Liverpool, and 82 per cent of the 233 who voted believe Ralph Hasenhuttl must bite the bullet and thrown the youngster in at the deep end…

As it has been aptly put, it can’t get any worse at the back for Saints. A fixture against the European champions is hardly the most settling debut – especially for a young defender – but the team is in need of a fix, and quickly.
Jannik Vestergaard hardly deserves to keep his place after the calamitous showing he turned in at Burnley. Question marks also remain regarding whether or not Jack Stephens is up to the task.
Jan Bednarek is likely to keep his place in the line-up, but alongside him – either in a back four or five – competition for starting berths is fierce.
Danso should come in against Liverpool, though. He possesses the dynamism that may be required to track the runs of players like Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, and integrating him as soon as possible must be the way to go.
