Southampton conclude their pre-season friendlies this Saturday as they host FC Koln ahead of the start of the Premier League next weekend.
This is the first time St Mary’s has welcomed the team since their 1-1 draw with Huddersfield at the end of the last campaign.
It is, therefore, set to be the first time that new signings Che Adams and Moussa Djenepo will be greeted by the Saints faithful.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side has had a positive pre-season with three wins against Feyenoord, Guangzhou R&F and Preston in the last couple of weeks.
The Austrian has also experimented with different formations, with it not yet clear if the manager will opt for three at the back or his previously favoured 4-2-2-2 system.
Their opponents were crowned champions of the German second division last term which saw an immediate return to the Bundesliga.
With this being a final chance for Saints to experiment, we predict the starting XI to be strong and could give us an idea of the side which will face Burnley in a week’s time.
