Southampton have two games remaining this season, but their fate is sealed.
The Saints will be playing Premier League football in the 2019/20 campaign, and much of this is owed to Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Mark Hughes oversaw a torrid start to the season at St Mary’s Stadium, with the team amassing just nine points from their first 14 outings.
However, Hasenhuttl’s arrival sparked the squad into life and allowed the fans to reestablish a relationship with the players on the pitch, as Premier League safety was eventually secured in the 3-3 draw against Bournemouth.
It has been an eventful season for Southampton, but they will be content in the knowledge that they can go out and enjoy their final two fixtures, with their heads now firmly above water.
Take a look at how I have reflected on the 2018/19 season with my awards after a gruelling campaign for the club and the supporters.
