Southampton picked up a point as they held local rivals Bournemouth to a 0-0 draw away from home.
Bournemouth have been scoring goals for fun this season, but the Saints were able to silence them and avoid defeat.
The Saints played some good football at times and had a glorious chance to win it late on, with Manolo Gabbiadini missing a sitter at the end.
Here is how we rated the Saints players…
Alex McCarthy: 7
Did nothing wrong. Solid.
Cedric Soares: 7
Defended very well, lacked quality going forward.
Jack Stephens: 7
Very composed display from the defender, should now keep his place.
Wesley Hoedt: 8
Was excellent at the back, dealt with everything that came his way.
Ryan Bertrand: 6
Was out of the game at times, but pressed forward when he could.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: 7
Impressive performance from the Dane in midfield.
Mario Lemina: 6
Came off injured but was solid before he left the play.
Mo Elyounoussi: 5
Failed to provide a threat going forward, although he did work back well to defend.
Nathan Redmond: 6
Was a threat but failed to find real quality in the Bournemouth half. Supplied Gabbiadini with a good late chance.
Danny Ings: 6
Worked his socks off with little service.
Charlie Austin: 3
Poor display from Austin, offered nothing.
