Southampton have shown an interest in signing striker Edin Dzeko from AS Roma, according to a report from Darren Lewis of the Mirror.
The 32-year-old spent five seasons at Manchester City, where he won two Premier League titles and recently admitted that he hadn’t ruled out a return to English football.
He said:
It’s probably too late for me to return to the Premier League, but you never know: we’ll see.

Roma are known for their willingness to allow players to move away from the club if the price is right and they could ask for a huge fee for the Bosnian, who has a track record of scoring goals in the Premier League.
Cardiff City and Crystal Palace have also been linked with moves for the former Man City star, but whether Dzeko is willing to leave Roma to join Saints, Cardiff or Palace at this point of his career remains to be seen.
