Southampton are hoping for no more complications from the blisters Danny Ings suffered against Everton.
The striker suffered the painful injury against the Toffees, and had been having painkillers to stop the pain on his foot.
However, in his press conference today, Mark Hughes revealed that Ings is now back in training, and the club hope that there are no more problems from the injury.
Hughes said, via Ben Dinnery:
Danny (Ings) has a bad blister. He tore a chunk of skin off his foot against Everton and he was taking painkillers to stop the pain. He’s not having injections anymore and he’s back in training, so we’re hoping there are no more problems with that.
Ings has been a key signing for the Saints this Summer, with the striker moving from Liverpool after a difficult spell on Merseyside.
Ings scored against Crystal Palace before the international break, and also scored against Everton on his debut for the Saints.
