Southampton midfielder Sam McQueen has today left the club on loan, joining Championship side Middlesbrough until the end of the season.
Boro have been looking to strengthen their attacking options before the loan window shuts at the end of the month, and have managed to secure the signing of McQueen just before the deadline.

McQueen has almost 20 appearances for Southampton and made his debut in the San Siro during the Saint’s Europa League campaign.
This is McQueen’s first loan deal away from Southampton since joining Southend in 2016. The midfielder made over 18 appearances for The Shrimpers, scoring two goals.
The midfielder will join former Saints academy graduate Calum Chambers at Middlesbrough, where Tony Pulis is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of a Premier League push.
