Southampton extended their run of games without a win to nine as they lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace at St. Mary’s.
The Saints failed to build on their point against Manchester United on Saturday as they blew a one goal lead against Palace.
Shane Long’s first goal in over 300 days opened the scoring for the Saints in the first-half. He swept home from 12-yards out after the ball was played across the box.
Palace then turned it around in the second half with goals from James McArthur and Luka Milivojevic.
McArthur finished from close range after a free-kick was headed into the six yard box, with neither Jack Stephens nor Maya Yoshida picking up their man.
Milivojevic, who missed a penalty against Manchester City last weekend, won the match for Palace with an excellent first-time strike from the edge of the box.
