Southampton yesterday agreed to a deal with Liverpool for the sale of Virgil Van Dijk to Liverpool for £75 million as the ongoing saga ended between the player and the club.
Saints have for a while now been struggling to keep their best players with the likes of Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana both joining Van Dijk in moving up north to Liverpool in recent years.
There have been a number of other rumours over the possible moves of other players who may move on in January from the club.
Southampton are going to need to reinvest in their squad from the funds which have been raised from the transfer of Virgil Van Dijk which could also see some of the squad moved out on loan in order to get some more game time.
