After the 2016 Deloitte Football Money League has been released, details and totals have been revealed for every single Premier League club have been revealed as in regards to just how much money they made in the 2014/15 season.
Southampton will look back on last season with immense pride, due to their qualification for Europe alongside their highest ever league finish in seventh place, however the monetary and financial side of the campaign can also be perceived as a huge success for the club’s board.
The stats revealed for last season tally up just how much revenue the clubs were able to make on a worldwide basis from match-day earnings, broadcasting rights and on a commercial basis, allowing the Deloitte Football Money League to give an accurate representation of several team’s financial improvement in the last year.

Of course the footballing heavyweights of the world headed the list, with Manchester United coming in third place of the global list, but topping the Premier League chart with a total revenue of a staggering £395.2 million in the season of 2014/15.
However, it was more than obvious that Saints would find themselves lower than the financially powerful Manchester club, but it may come as a surprise to see Southampton in a fairly high standing on the league.
Saints brought in the tenth most amount of revenue throughout the course of last season in the Premier League and found themselves in a highly impressive 22nd place in the world rankings, ahead of fellow top flight competitors Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and more, with a huge total of £113.7 million.
Southampton will be hoping to generate even more revenue this year as they look to have a strong second half to finish off the season.
