Southampton are preparing to take on the in-form West Brom this Saturday as the Saints look to carry forward their good performance in the 2-0 victory over Watford to Saturday’s clash with the Baggies, but are well aware from previous meetings that it will not be an easy game.
Last season, neither side were able to break the deadlock and both clubs came away with a point each in a frustrating 0-0 draw.
It was a testing game for Saints, as Ronald Koeman overlooked his first ever home Premier League match whilst Fraser Forster, Ryan Bertrand, Graziano Pelle, Dusan Tadic and ex-Albion man Shane Long all made their home debuts after joining in a turbulent summer.

Chances were hard to come by in an extremely tight affair, with the best chance for Saints coming from James Ward-Prowse’s curling free-kick from 25 yards just skimming off the outside of the post.
However, Southampton were thankful to new signing Fraser Forster late in the second half as he got down superbly well to save Brown Ideye’s low shot with his right leg to deny the visitors a goal late on.
Saints will be hoping that they can manage more than a draw against West Brom this Saturday, but are aware that the clash will be just as tough as the last outing at St Mary’s between the two.
