Koeman warns Mane and Wanyama against pushing for move away

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has dealt a blow to Saints men Victor Wanyama and Sadio Mane in their pursuit of a move away from the club, claiming that if they attempt to push through any move in the near future, he will not feature them in his side at all.

It has been well documented that the Southampton pair have been recently seeking a move away from St. Mary’s, with Mane taking a shine to Manchester United and Wanyama being a long-term target of North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham.

However, in Koeman’s recent press conference, the Dutchman told the media that neither player will be leaving and that Mane is happy at the club.

If there is any player thinking if his behaviour is not good that makes it more easier for the player, then I’ll put the player in the stands until the end of their contract because in my opinion that’s not the way you have to do your job as a football player.

Koeman also confirmed that Mane will start against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
