Southampton suffered a second straight defeat at The Eithad today as they lost 3-1 to a rampant City side.
Goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Fabian Delph gave the home side a half-time lead before Shane Long pulled one back not long into the second half. However, Alex Kolarov soon sealed all three points as he made it 3-1 with a driven finish.
The loss ends Southampton’s fantastic away run, which had seen them go all season without a loss away from St.Mary’s. That is over.
