Off the back of a hugely disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Stoke City last weekend, Ronald Koeman and his Southampton side gear up to face second in the table Manchester City on Saturday at The Etihad.
The Saints will be without star striker Graziano Pelle after he picked up his 5th bookable offence of the season last weekend for unnecessarily kicking the ball away during his side’s defeat to Stoke in the closing stages of the match. However, it is not just Southampton who will be without key players as the two sides come head to head this Saturday. Manchester City are to be without Joe Hart in-goal after the City keeper appeared to have injured his hamstring in their 1-0 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday, as well as the niggling injury that captain Vincent Kompany appears to be carrying.
Here is how I expect Southampton to line up on Saturday afternoon.
