Following the news that Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart will miss the clash at The Eithad tomorrow; Southampton fans have started to become a little more optimistic about their chances tomorrow.
The England number one went off injured in mid-week in the Champions League for City and will now miss the game against Southampton tomorrow afternoon. Second choice ‘keeper Willy Caballero is more than expected to start in place of Hart.
This could be a big boost to Southampton’s chances of getting anything out of the match as Hart is easily one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, and world, and would have been very hard to get past.

Now, Caballero is not a bad goalkeeper by any stretch of the imagination but he is nowhere near the level Hart is it. This could mean that the Southampton strike force could find much more joy than they would have if Hart were to play.
The 34-year-old Argentine has just three previous Premier League appearances since joining Manchester City at the start of last season so his inexperience and lack of game time at this level could be a big factor.
Southampton will be looking to continue their superb away form this season; the Saints have failed to lose a single game away from home in all competitions this term and the loss of Joe Hart for Manchester City could be a big factor in whether that run continues tomorrow.
Is Hart’s injury a big boost for Southampton?
