After an extremely promising start to life at Southampton, right-back Cedric Soares has admitted that he’s starting to adapt very well to the Premier League.
Signed for just under £5 million from Sporting Lisbon in the summer, Cedric was brought in as a replacement for the departing Nathaniel Clyne; and it has proved to be a shrewd bit of business yet again from Ronald Koeman and the board at Southampton.
This month in particular has been one to remember for Cedric, as he feels as though he has found his feet in the Premier League and it is hard to disagree given the standard of the Portugal man’s performances as of late, two of which coming in huge away games for The Saints against Chelsea and Liverpool.

Cedric’s excellent displays this month have earned him a spot amongst the four nominees for Southampton’s player of the month; alongside Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane and September’s winner of the award, Graziano Pelle.
Speaking about his recent performances, Cedric said:
This month was a good month for me. I think my performances were nice and I felt good with my colleagues.
Cedric also spoke of his understanding with manager Ronald Koeman after four months of working with the Dutchman, and how he is growing to suit his playing style and how it is showing in his recent performances.
I think I understand better the way he wants to play. We are doing well, so I’m trying my best to do always what he asks me to do.
