Southampton end their interest in Vanheusden
The Saints have reportedly been tracking defender Zinho Vanheusden in recent weeks, as they aim to strengthen defensively this summer.
However, it is now being claimed that the Saints have ended their interest in the centre-back, according to Dutch outlet Het Belang van Limburg, as cited on Sport Witness.
The 19-year-old spent last season on loan at Standard Liege and impressed there, making 30 appearances for the Belgian side.
Standard Liege themselves are reportedly chasing the Inter defender on a permanent deal after his successful loan spell.
Many clubs are said to have expressed an interested in the defender too, with Premier League side Wolves and Italian side Sassuolo among the favourites for his signature.
The young defender is yet to feature for Inter, who are happy to sell this summer should the asking price of around £18 million be met.
Southampton now look set to move onto other targets, with Ralph Hasenhuttl hoping to improve his squad in the coming weeks.
