Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Charlie Austin, according to freelance journalist Tim Nash, but have concerns over the Southampton striker’s history of injury problems.

The Saints forward looks all but set to leave St Mary’s Stadium this month, with Ralph Hasenhuttl keen to trim his first-team squad.
Austin has been at the club since joining in a £4 million deal from Queens Park Rangers in January 2016 but has fallen out of favour, with the likes of Danny Ings and Shane Long selected ahead of him this season.

This has led the club to put the 29-year-old up for sale, with Wolves believed to be in the race for his signature.
Raul Jimenez has been in impressive form for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side throughout the season so far, but it seems the Portuguese boss is keen to add depth to his ranks.
Austin has scored two Premier League goals this term and sees his contract at Southampton expire in the summer of 2020.
