Barcelona are ready to sell Southampton target Paco Alcacer this summer, according to Spanish reports.
The Saints have been strongly linked with a fresh swoop for the Barcelona attacker, with a summer exit now seemingly on the cards.
Alcacer netted seven goals from only 23 appearances last season and was used sparingly by Ernesto Valverde. It seems, ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, the former Valencia man’s services are no longer required at Camp Nou.
According to claims from Spanish news outlet Sport, Barcelona are ready to trim their squad this summer and Alcacer is among the players who have been transfer listed.
This may come as a boost for Saints, who are reportedly set to revive their interest in Alcacer after apparently expressing a strong interest in landing the player throughout last season.
It’s claimed, however, by Mundo Deportivo that Southampton will face competition from other La Liga clubs. Sevilla and Real Betis are reportedly attentive to Alcacer’s situation at Barcelona.
Fenerbahce, too, were linked with a swoop for Alcacer yesterday. It seems the player is going to be hot property ahead of next season, with his future unlikely to be at Barcelona next season.
