Southampton look set to miss out on the signing of Felipe Anderson, with West Ham ‘very close’ to securing the Lazio star’s signature.
According to an report from Italian news outlet TMW, the Brazilian playmaker is looking poised to join the Hammers this summer as talks over a transfer continue.
It’s stated in the report that West Ham are on the verge of sealing a deal worth an initial €30m fee for the player. The deal could, however, rise up to a total of €38m depending on additional bonuses.

Southampton and Leicester City were reportedly interested in landing Anderson this summer but West Ham have seemingly always been in the driving seat, with a deal apparently close to completion.
Saints are yet to make a signing this summer and will be hoping to bolster their squad sooner rather than later, with the World Cup just around the corner.
Anderson was used sporadically by Lazio last season but contributed to an impressive season for Simone Inzaghi’s side. It comes as no surprise to see Premier League clubs chasing his signature, and it seems West Ham will be the ones who land him.
