A number of Southampton fans have been reacting to the latest report around the potential future of Leicester City winger Demarai Gray revealing that Crystal Palace are in talks over a move and he could be available for around £2 million.
The winger’s potential future has been the subject of intense speculation throughout the transfer window so far with his contract set to expire at the end of the campaign. It has been reported that Southampton are interested in bringing the 24-year-old to St Mary’s but that the Saints are prepared to wait until the summer to make a move for him.
However, there have been reports that other sides are looking to steal a march on Southampton and secure a potential permanent deal for him for this month. Bayer Leverkusen have made a bid of around €2 million (£1.8 million) for Gray and Crystal Palace are also in talks with the Foxes over the potential of bringing him into the club before the window closes, per The Athletic.
The Athletic’s report reaffirms Southampton’s interest in Gray, but it seems like they might miss out on his potential signing if they do not make a move for him this month.
