A number of Southampton fans have reacted to the VAR decisions given against their team in the clash with Newcastle.
Some Saints supporters have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions after VAR overcalled two decisions during the game.
The first came after a challenge from Moussa Djenepo resulted in a yellow card for the winger. VAR then prompted the referee to go and look at the tackle on the pitchside monitor, before reversing his decision and showing Djenepo a red card.
Newcastle were then on the receiving end again as VAR helped to award them a penalty later in the half. Sofiane Boufal brought the ball down in the box and dribbled away to safety, with the referee seeing nothing wrong with the incident. VAR then noticed that Boufal brought the ball down with the top of his arm, with Newcastle then being awarded a penalty.
These Southampton fans reacted to the VAR decisions with mixed opinions.
