A number of Southampton fans have reacted to a post from the club of Danny Ings holding onto a pole in training.
Ings is pictured posing in front of the camera holding onto the pole as if it were his royal cane.
Some Southampton fans have taken to Twitter and Instagram to react to the post, loving Ings’ humour ahead of their clash with Newcastle this weekend.
Southampton host Newcastle at St. Mary’s on Saturday and Ings could be looking to get back into the starting XI. Ings was on the bench as Southampton lost 3-1 to West Ham last weekend, after suffering a knock in training the week before.
Ings has scored just once in his last six Premier League matches, but is on 15 for the season and could potentially add to that against Newcastle back on home soil this week.
