Mohamed Elyounoussi made his debut for Celtic at the weekend, and it’s safe to say that plenty of Hoops fans liked what they saw.
The winger joined the Scottish Premiership champions towards the end of the summer transfer window and was handed a start in his side’s 1-0 win away at Hamilton on Saturday.
Elyounoussi set James Forrest up for the decisive goal of the victory, and these Celtic fans took to Twitter to discuss how their new loan signing fared upon his introduction to Scottish football…

Read Southampton’s verdict
It’s good to see that Elyounoussi has made an instant impact on Celtic. Ultimately, there’s a reason why we bought him, and that’s because he was incredibly productive for Basel.
He struggled to cope with the demands of the Premier League, and as such, offloading him was the correct move, especially given the recent success of Moussa Djenepo, Sofiane Boufal and Nathan Redmond.
Elyounoussi returning to form would be positive for all parties. Celtic will be able to benefit on the pitch, the player himself will regain confidence after a dismal year at Southampton, and Saints may also be able to recoup a considerable sum of the £16 million they spent on signing him.
