Bristol City are set to demand £30m for Southampton transfer target Adam Webster this summer.
According to the Bristol Post, the club will only entertain offers in the region of £30m, with a host of Premier League sides having been linked with the defender in recent weeks.
Aston Villa, Leicester, Newcastle, Burnley, Watford and Everton are all also said to be keen on the centre-back, alongside Southampton.
The report claims that Bristol City are confident of keeping Webster at the club for next season, with a price tag of £30m expected to fend off interest from the Premier League.
Webster was impressive in the Championship for Bristol City last season and was regarded as one of the best defenders in the division, following his move from Ipswich last summer.
£30m would be a club-record fee for Southampton if they were to move for Webster, which makes a deal seem unlikely for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
Centre-backs Southampton could target
The England under-21 international would be a good signing for the Saints as they look to strengthen their defence.
The Saints could turn to Webster’s centre-back partner from last season. Southampton could tempt Kalas into leaving Chelsea on a permanent deal.
Southampton could look to snap up Tomori on loan from Chelsea following his impressive season with Derby in the Championship.
The West Brom defender has plenty of Premier League experience and is a handful from set-pieces.
