Southampton have had a bid for ESTAC Troyes starlet Bryan Mbeumo rejected, as interest in the 19-year-old heats up.
According to Get French Football News via L’Equipe, both Saints and Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg have seen bids believed to be between €7million and €8million rejected by the Ligue 2 side.
Mbeumo shone for the French outfit last season, scoring 11 goals and creating four assists in 39 appearances in all competitions, helping Troyes finish third in Ligue 2.

Both Saints and Wolfsburg face competition in the race for the 19-year-old, however, with Schalke said to be interested in the Frenchman, while the report suggests Strasbourg have also enquired.
Bordeaux are also keen on a move for Mbeumo, as they look to reignite their interest after coming close to signing the teenager in January.
The 19-year-old is reportedly considering his options amid interest from the likes of Saints, with the Frenchman looking for the guarantee of first team football prior to agreeing a move away from Troyes.
