Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are both eyeing up surprise swoops for Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand.
According to The Daily Mail, Southampton are now prepared to sell Bertrand this summer, with Inter and Atletico both keen on the Englishman.
He struggled with injuries last season, but regained his place in the side towards the end of the season – nailing down the left-back spot ahead of Matt Targett.
Bertrand did, however, miss out on a place in the England squad for the Nations League Finals, with Leicester’s Ben Chilwell and Tottenham’s Danny Rose selected ahead of him by Gareth Southgate.
The report also claims that Southampton will make Matt Targett their first-choice left-back, despite some shaky performances in the Premier League last season for the club.
Southampton are said to be looking for a fee in the region of £15m for Bertrand, but the European giants are both expecting to sign him for around £10m.
Left-backs Southampton could sign
The experienced Premier League campaigner would be a solid signing for Southampton, following his impressive displays for West Brom in the Championship.
Justin was superb for Luton in League One and could be a great prospect for Southampton to snap up.
Despite Fulham’s relegation, Bryan did impress going forward and could suit Hasenhuttl’s style of play.
The Liverpool defender is out of contract at the end of the month and will be available on a free transfer.
