Southampton have reportedly made an offer of an initial €10million for Spezia forward David Okereke, with another €5million included in add ons.

Okereke scored 10 goals and created 12 assists in all competitions for the Serie B side last season, attracting interest from the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Southampton.

On Friday, BBC Radio Solent’s Sports Editor Adam Blackmore suggested that “contrary” to some reports, Saints had not made contact with the Italian side over a potential move for Okereke.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport’s report on Saturday, Saints have now made an offer of €10million plus €5million in potential add ons as interest in the 21-year-old increases.

The report suggests the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt, Sassuolo, Brescia and Genk are all eyeing a move for the striker.
