Southampton have reportedly made an offer of an initial €10million for Spezia forward David Okereke, with another €5million included in add ons.
Okereke scored 10 goals and created 12 assists in all competitions for the Serie B side last season, attracting interest from the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Southampton.
On Friday, BBC Radio Solent’s Sports Editor Adam Blackmore suggested that “contrary” to some reports, Saints had not made contact with the Italian side over a potential move for Okereke.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport’s report on Saturday, Saints have now made an offer of €10million plus €5million in potential add ons as interest in the 21-year-old increases.
The report suggests the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt, Sassuolo, Brescia and Genk are all eyeing a move for the striker.
Okereke's career so far
USD Lavagnese 1919
Okreke came through the ranks at Italian fourth tier outfit USD Lavagnese 1919, before moving on in 2016.
The striker move to Spezia in 2016, a went on to score seven goals and create one assist in 10 appearances for their U19 side.
Okereke then spent a season on loan with Italian third tier side Cosenza Calcio, scoring five and assisting four in 26 appearances.
Though his overall goalscoring record for Spezia is far from outstanding, the striker did enjoy the finest campaign of his career in 2018/19, scoring 10 goals and assisting 12.
