Newly-promoted Norwich City will rival Southampton in a move to sign Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
As reported by Football Insider, Norwich are reportedly keen on adding him to their squad, with Leeds missing out promotion themselves.
Their failure to beat Derby in the semi-finals of the play-offs has cast doubts over the futures of a number of players in the squad, Phillips being one of them.
Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth have also been linked with a move to sign Phillips, who looks ready for a chance in the Premier League.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has outlined his plan to sign young players this summer and Phillips certainly fits the bill.
He was a key member of the Leeds squad that narrowly missed out on a place in the final at Wembley.
While it is unclear how much any deal would cost, a fee of £15 million has been suggested in order to convince Leeds into a sale.
Championship prospects Southampton could sign
Ollie Watkins has been impressing at Brentford this season and could take his game to the next level at Southampton.
Bowen turned down Premier League interest in January but will no doubt attract more this summer.
Jack Clarke will be a wanted man this summer with Leeds missing out on promotion to the Premier League.
Another one of the Championship’s more in demand players, Swansea may struggle to keep hold of Daniel James beyond the summer.
