Palace to rival Southampton in £20m move for Lookman
Southampton will face competition from Crystal Palace in a move to sign Ademola Lookman from Everton.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, as cited on HITC, the Saints will not be the only team pursuing his signature.
Southampton are said to be big admirers of the player, with a £20 million deal being mooted, with the player out of the first-team picture at Goodison Park.
Palace themselves face the prospect of losing Wilfried Zaha this summer. The winger has expressed his desire to play Champions League football, meaning Roy Hodgson’s side will be on the lookout for a replacement in the coming months.
Lookman remains highly rated at Goodison Park but has never quite been given an opportunity to prove himself at the club.
He showed what he is capable during a loan spell at RB Leipzig last season, where he worked under current Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.
