Rangers are leading the race to sign Southampton transfer target Luca Connell this summer.
According to The Daily Mail, via The Pink’Un, Rangers are the current favourites to land the young midfielder.
Southampton, Wolves, Leeds and Preston North End are all said to be interested, whilst Norwich and Rangers lead the way.
Connell is set to leave Bolton upon the expiry of his contract at the end of next month, but any club signing him would still need to pay a compensation fee to Bolton.
The report claims that this fee will be in the region of £300k, for the talented youngster who has impressed this season.
Connell made his Championship debut for Bolton earlier this year and finished the season with 10 appearances in the league.
The 18-year-old has also been capped by Ireland at various youth levels and is a current under-19 international, with Southampton looking to add him to their academy.
