The Saints are ready to make their move for the winger as they look to bolster their squad for next season.
Djenepo has made 31 appearances in the Belgian top-flight for Standard Liege this season and netted eight times so far.
He also scored three goals in five Europa League games earlier this season for the Belgian side.
Ralph Hasenhuttl is yet to make his first signing as Southampton manager, after he opted to not sign a single player in the January transfer window.
The Austrian boss has managed to secure Southampton’s place in the Premier League for another season and will now be hoping to kick on next year – with the help of some new additions in the transfer market.
