Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl sat down with the media on Thursday to discuss various topics ahead of Saturday’s trip to West Ham.
Following last weekend’s 3-3 draw with Bournemouth coupled with Cardiff’s 1-0 defeat at Fulham, the Saints were able to secure survival with two games to spare.
This means Southampton are able to play these last two games with little pressure and can already start preparing for next season.
Hasenhuttl spoke about the next campaign, including the summer transfer window, as well as the ambition of becoming the best of the rest once again.
This weekend’s opponents also have little to play for after an indifferent campaign that leaves the Hammers in 11th in the table.
The gaffer also revealed the latest injury news, which makes it difficult to work out which system will be chosen for this clash, but fringe players could be utilised in a game of no genuine importance.
