Southampton have been given a boost in their pursuit of RB Leipzig forward Jean-Kevin Augustin with the Bundesliga side reportedly looking to offload the 21-year-old this summer.
Ralph Hasenhuttl, who managed Augustin during his time in charge of Leipzig, is said to be an admirer of the forward and the Daily Mail linked Saints with a move for the Frenchman earlier this season.

Leipzig were said to be holding out for a £35million offer for the forward this summer, however according to Goal’s Ronan Murphy, via German outlet Kicker, the Bundesliga side could be willing to lower their asking price as they look to move Augustin and two of his teammates on at the end of the season.
