Paris Saint-Germain defender Colin Dagba was a target for Southampton in the January transfer window, according to reports from France.
The Saints were believed to have been on the lookout to sign a new right-back following the departure of Cedric Soares to Inter Milan on loan until the end of the season.
L’Equipe, as cited in a report from The Daily Echo, claimed that Southampton enquired over a temporary move for PSG youngster Dagba, but had an approach rejected.

Thomas Tuchel was believed to have been keen to keep hold of the defender, who is held in high esteem by the Ligue 1 giants.
The 20-year-old has been used only sporadically throughout the season but came on in his side’s impressive 2-0 victory away at Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Southampton appeared to have been interested in signing Dagba but may need to look elsewhere in the summer if they are to pursue a new right-back as the Frenchman is evidently a part of Tuchel’s plans.
