Hasenhuttl provides eagerly anticipated injury update on Ings

Danny Ings will be out of action for at least another fortnight, his manager Ralph Hasenhuttl confirmed Thursday.

The Austrian tactician revealed that the front-man will be sidelined yet again with a hamstring problem, believed to be a new ailment.

A player who has a history of struggling to keep fit, the 26-year-old has also proven himself to be incredibly valuable on the pitch so far this season.

With eight goals in 19 appearances across all competitions, the Saints faithful will be hoping and praying their striker can return to action as soon as possible – there’s only so much Charlie Austin a fan can take…

Adam Blackmore of Radio Solent claims the former Liverpool man will be out of action for anywhere between two and three weeks, meaning a return against Fulham at the end of the month is a possibility.

Until then, Hasenhuttl will have to continue finding alternative sources of goals.
