Southampton have made a £5million offer to Leeds United for winger Jack Clarke, according to a report from Pete O’Rouke.
The 18-year-old winger is one of the hottest young talents in the Championship and has been attracting interest from top-flight clubs, despite playing just 14 times for Leeds.
Crystal Palace made an offer for the winger earlier this month but it looks like Southampton have outbid their Premier League rivals.
According to the report, Leeds are keen to keep hold of the teenager as they see him as a key member of their squad as they look to earn promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated back in 2004.
O’Rouke thinks that it’s unlikely that the £5million bid will be accepted but Leeds are bracing themselves for more offers this month.
