Southampton are reportedly interested in signing Hertha Berlin forward Davie Selke this month as they look to bolster their attacking options to avoid relegation.
According to reports in Germany, the 23-year-old is on Raph Hasenhuttl’s radar after his excellent 2017/18 season, where he scored 14 goals in 31 games in all competitions.
Tottenham are also said to be interested in the former German U21 international, who has seemingly fallen out of favour with Hertha this season.
He is though to be interested in speaking to clubs this month as he looks to kickstart his career, having fallen off the rail this season.
Saints boss Ralph Hasenhüttl knows Selke well having sold him to Hertha in 2017 and he’d be keen on working with him again at St Mary’s.
The report does claim, however, that Selke prefers a move to Tottenham over Southampton and would pick Pochettino’s side if given the option.
