Southampton linked with Prijovic swoop
Southampton are reportedly in the race to sign Serbia international Aleksandar Prijovic.
It is claimed by the Sunday People, as per a report from HITC, that the Saints have emerged among the potential suitors for the striker, who has shone for PAOK this season.
The 28-year-old has been in good form in the Greek Super League. From 12 starts, he has found the net on a total of eight occasions.
This level of performance appears to have attracted interest from clubs in England, with Southampton mentioned by the Sunday People as one of those keen to land Prijovic in January.
Ralph Hasenhuttl does have a plethora of striking options at his disposal but none have truly convinced this season, aside from Danny Ings.
However, the former Liverpool attacker has been sidelined in recent weeks as he continues to work his way back from a hamstring injury he sustained prior to the team’s 1-1 draw against Watford in early November.
Southampton are not alone in their apparent interest in Prijovic, though. It is stated that Championship club West Brom are keen on the experienced forward, with Crystal Palace also lining up a swoop.
