Paulo Sousa is keen to manage in the Premier League, amid recent speculation linking him with a move to Southampton, according to claims from Portuguese news outlet Noticias ao Minuto.
In recent times, the experienced manager has been touted as an option for the Saints as they continue to assess Mark Hughes’ position at the club.
After 13 Premier League games, Southampton have picked up only one win and are currently sat dangerously low in 18th place as a relegation battle presents itself once again.

It is because of this poor form that Hughes has seen his future at St Mary’s scrutinised, with a plethora of managers from across Europe cited as potential replacements.
Sousa has been strongly linked with Saints in the past week and according to claims from the former Juventus player’s homeland, he is waiting for an offer from the Premier League before he commits to a job elsewhere.
The 48-year-old has previously managed QPR, Swansea City and Leicester City and his most recent stint came in the Chinese Super League with Tianjin Quanjian.
