Southampton youngster Jake Hesketh is keen to extend his loan spell with League One side Burton in January.
Hesketh joined Burton in the summer on a deal until January, meaning he has little over a month left at the club.
However, he has now claimed that he wants to stay with Burton until the end of the season and is hoping to iron out a deal in the next transfer window.

The 22-year-old has caught the eye at times this season, with two goals in 16 appearances for the club.
Speaking to The Daily Echo, Hesketh said this:
I’m happy, I want to stay, I’m playing football and I’m enjoying myself.
That’s down to the club here, the management, to want me to stay. That’s what I want to do.
I don’t think I really need to have a word with the manager.
It’s their decision at the end of the day.
Once they make that decision, then it’ll come to me and it’ll be straightforward from there, I guess.
Hesketh has made four senior appearances for Southampton to date, scoring once. His only goal came in a League Cup win over Crystal Palace.
