Southampton target Rafael Toloi has been valued by Atalanta.
The central defender is seen by some at the Saints as the answer to their woes in the heart of the back four, with players like Wesley Hoedt and Jack Stephens failing to provide an adequate standard of play for the Premier League.
Hoping to find a long-term partner for summer arrival Jannik Vestergaard, Mark Hughes may choose to pounce on Toloi now he has an idea of how much he’ll set his team back.

Calcio Mercato claim Atalanta are seeking between €15 million and €17 million for the centre-back.
Southampton are unlikely to be alone in their pursuit of Toloi, however. Internazionale are said to be keen on finding a replacement for Joao Miranda, and the 28-year-old compatriot of the Nerazzurri is said to be a likely candidate to fill the role.
Toloi joined Atalanta in 2015, and has made over 100 appearances for the club in his spell in Italy.
