Southampton’s efforts to replace Les Reed are well underway and according to claims from France, they have identified Leicester City’s head of recruitment Eduardo Macia as a potential candidate.
It’s reported by Sud Ouest, as translated by Sport Witness, that Southampton are hot on the trail of Macia, who has impressed following his work at the King Power Stadium.
Macia was initially courted by Ligue 1 giants Bordeaux but no move has come about, with the 44-year-old then continuing with his duties at Leicester.

Southampton have, in recent times, been linked with a swoop for Norwich City director Stuart Webber as they continue to step up their attempts to replace Reed.
The vice-chairman spent eight years at Southampton but was relieved with his duties as the club opted to oversee a restructuring of the board.
This has evidently led Southampton to explore their options, with former Liverpool scout Macia the latest to be touted as a potential replacement for Reed.
