Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini has been linked with a move to Serie A side Bologna.
The Saints attacker has seen his chances limited by Mark Hughes this season, prompting speculation linking him with a move away from St Mary’s in the near future.
Gabbiadini has been perennially linked with a return to Italy following his move to Southampton from Napoli at the start of last year. The likes of Lazio and Parma have previously been linked, but Calciomercato have recently reported interest from Bologna.
The 26-year-old has previously enjoyed a spell with Bologna on loan and it seems the club are keen to re-sign their former striker.
Gabbiadini started in Southampton’s recent 3-0 home defeat against Chelsea in the Premier League but has generally seen Danny Ings, Shane Long and Charlie Austin ahead of him in the pecking order at the club.
The Italian international will be desperately hoping to keep his place in the Southampton starting line-up when they travel to Bournemouth after the international break.
