Leicester City will pip Southampton to the signing of Rachid Ghezzal, according to a report from ESPN.
Both clubs have been linked with respective swoops for the Algerian winger in recent times but it seems Leicester have won the race for his signature as the transfer window edges closer to its conclusion.
ESPN’s report indicates that Ghezzal was, in fact, at Leicester’s King Power Stadium on Friday to stage negotiations with the club and also to undergo a medical ahead of the switch.

Monaco excluded Ghezzal from their trip to Germany for pre-season and granted him permission to discuss a move to a Premier League club, with this side now seemingly being Leicester.
Foxes boss Claude Puel worked with Ghezzal during his time at Lyon and it seems his admiration of the player remains, with a deal appearing to be all but completed.
Watford were also alongside Saints in the race to land Ghezzal.
