Southampton target Rachid Ghezzal will complete a move away from AS Monaco ‘in the coming days’, according to an exclusive report from Algerian news outlet DZ Foot.
The winger endured a difficult season in Monaco and struggled to impact proceedings as Leonardo Jardim’s men failed to retain the Ligue 1 title.
Ghezzal played a bit-part role for much of the season and was unable to impress in front of the goal, contributing with just two league goals and three assists.
The 26-year-old, who plays primarily on the right wing, has left Monaco’s pre-season training camp in Germany, according to DZ, having been left out of the club’s friendly match with Hamburg.

Ghezzal has been linked with Southampton again this week, with the club reportedly ready to reignite their interest. The Algerian international was allegedly targeted by Claude Puel during only summer transfer window with the Saints.
Puel’s Leicester City side are also linked with Ghezzal, though, and are reportedly set to offer Saints competition in the race for the ex-Lyon winger.
The report from DZ Foot indicates that Ghezzal is currently in active talks with an unnamed English club, with a bid worth just £4 million already on the table.
