Stoke City are eyeing up a swoop for Southampton striker Sam Gallagher this summer.
According to The Daily Mail, Stoke are looking into a deal for Gallagher, as they look to bolster their forward options.
Stoke have already brought in Benik Afobe on-loan from Wolves, but are keen on bringing in Gallagher as competition.
The report claims that Sheffield United are also fighting for Gallagher’s signature, with no mention whether either side wants him permanently or on loan.
Gallagher spent last season on loan to Birmingham in the Championship, where he scored seven goals in all competitions.
The 22-year-old striker scored 12 goals for Blackburn the season before, proving he has what it takes to score goals in the Championship.
Gary Rowett is looking to bring Stoke back to the Premier League at the first time of asking and wants Gallagher to help him do that.
