Gunn has put pen to paper on his Saints deal to become the club’s fourth summer signing.
Stuart Armstrong and Mohamed Elyounoussi have already joined the club.
Reports have claimed that Southampton agreed a £10m deal for Gunn, who spent last season on loan to Norwich in the Championship.
Gunn kept 16 clean sheets for Norwich in all competitions last season and was called up to the England senior squad for their friendly with Brazil.
The English shot-stopper is expected to challenge Alex McCarthy for a spot in the first-team next season.
The arrival of Gunn looks set to spell the end of Fraser Forster’s Southampton career, with the club looking to move to former England international on.
Gunn will link up with Harrison Reed, who also spent last season on loan to Norwich.
